River Cleanup

In Partnership with:

19th Annual River Clean up

Informally started in 2004 by a collection of local boaters, the Colorado River Cleanup (CRC) has brought people together to pick up trash along the 34 miles of the Colorado River as it flows through the Grand Valley of Colorado. What started as an annual event expanded into a biannual event in 2021 and it continues to grow as more and more locals are showing up to care for our most valuable resource.

Last Year’s Success

Last year, our crews recovered over 48 yards of trash that was polluting our beautiful waterways.  Captains found their boats were overflowing before they could even reach the end of their assigned sections.

Help Make This Year Even Better

This year we plan to have more participants and barges so we can collect everything that accumulates over the course of the year.  We are fundraising to cover costs of the operation which benefits all of the people in our community and the animals that call the river corridor home.  This is where our generous donors come into play.  Monetary donations go towards covering insurance, transportation, and t-shirts with your logo.  In kind donations, such as products and gift certificates, will be given away to volunteers at the event BBQ where we will further promote your business.  Here is a chance to keep these funds in the community and help provide a much needed service.  Thank you from everybody at the GVPC .
